CIF Exchange Programs to the Netherlands and outside the Netherlands

The exchange programs for professional social workers and other professionals in the field of human services are the core activity of CIF-International.

CIF offers the possibility for social workers and related professionals with some working or placement experience to participate in the exchange programs that are organized all over the world. The programs vary in length from two weeks up to one year.

The programs are organized by volunteers. They are former participants of a CIF-program as well as people who enjoy working in an international environment.

CIF-Netherlands is one of the National Branches and organizes every year a two-week long exchange-program for Human Services professionals. In addition CIF Netherlands mediates in applications of Dutch human services professionals who want to participate in the other CIF-programs.

The program in the Netherlands is organized in close co-operation with the School for Applied Social Sciences, School of Social Work and Law in Amsterdam. Social work organizations and Individual families who want to be a host family for a participant can get involved by receiving participants of the program. From experience it is known that this is an enriching experience for both parties.
